We are recruiting for a Minibar Attendant who will replenish and service in-room mini bars and accurately charge consumption in accordance with the hotel's standard operating procedures, ensuring guests always have a fully stocked, clean and well-presented mini bar throughout their stay.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Clean, replenish and service in-room mini bars daily in line with SOPs 
  2. Accurately charge consumed stock to the correct room account, ensuring zero billing errors 
  3. Monitor stock levels, order timeously and manage par stock and expiry dates 
  4. Conduct accurate opening/closing stock counts and monthly stock takes 
  5. Deliver a consistently well-presented mini bar that enhances the guest experience 
  6. Report guest complaints, maintenance faults and stock discrepancies promptly 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric Required (National Senior Certificate NQF 4)
  • 1+ year experience in food & beverage, hospitality, or stock/inventory control
  • Ability to lift and carry stock and work on your feet for extended periods, including reaching into mini bar units
  • Clean credit check 
  • Satisfactory criminal record, subject to assessment of the nature, severity, relevance, and recency of any offence.

Key Competencies:

  • Proficient in MS365 and Opera (or hotel PMS) for room charging and stock recording 
  • Strong stock control and beverage cost control skills 
  • Accurate, timely charging of consumed stock to guest room accounts 
  • Sound product and beverage knowledge 
  • Ability to manage multiple rooms accurately within tight timeframes 
  • Attention to detail in checking expiry dates, rotating stock ad refrigerator cleanliness and hygiene 
  • Communicate clearly in English
