About you

As an Executive Manager you will bring to the role:

  • Be a qualified MRICS commercial surveyor
  • Leadership and managerial experience to be able to support the service to ensure delivery that is in line with the council’s priorities and values
  • Have a proven track record in negotiating and delivering complex property related matters across a wide variety of sectors
  • Support organisational change and development; to lead and implement improvements
  • Build networks based on honesty, trust, and respect across a wide range of sectors
  • Be able to lead on both detailed delivery of schemes and development of strategy
  • Work flexibly to meet directorate and corporate priorities

About the role

The role is integral to our Land & Property Team which sits in the Council’s Asset Management & Regeneration Service within the City Development Directorate.  The team prides itself on curious thinking, problem solving and is outcome focused, to deliver at pace achieve not only our service objectives but also to contribute to the corporate wide agendas and deliver the Council’s budgets.

As our next Executive Manager, you will be a senior member of the Land & Property Team with staff management responsibilities as well as accountability on behalf of the Service across a range of projects in different portfolios.  The work will be varied given the Council’s extensive property portfolio.  You will work extensively across the team, the wider service, the City Development Directorate and with other Directorates to lead and drive forward property related matters that ensure the successful delivery of the council’s ambitions and priorities whilst keeping the Council’s Values central.
