KEY OUTPUTS:

  • Responsible for the effective, smooth running of the &Beyond switchboard and reception whilst representing the &Beyond brand though the first point of contact at Bateleur House. 
  • Good communication skills to enable the answering of all calls in a professional manner and as aligned to the &Beyond standard and way.
  • Making use of &Beyond knowledge and logic to enable the right questions to be asked to ensure that calls are put through to the correct people. 
  • Good writing and listening skills to take accurate messages.
  • Good Communications skills to ensure correct communication and delivery of messages whilst providing accurate information.
  • &Beyond Tacit knowledge/experience to be able to know the respective people and organograms so as to divert messages efficiently and effectively to the &Beyond standard and way.
  • Professionalism and patience to be able to deal with challenges and requests effectively and representing the brand.
  • Basic administration skills including typing, filing and basic office acceptance & delivery of documentation.
  • Organisational and communication skills that will enable you to receive, collect and deliver  parcels for guests and staff.
  • Maintain a presentable Reception Area.
  • Full scope of Switchboard administration
  • Supporting Human Capital administration 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:   

  • Grade 12 certification is required.
  • Switchboard Operator and Receptionist Course/s is advantageous.
  • 6-12 months call centre/ reception experience is advantageous.
  • Previous &Beyond experience is advantageous.
  • Fluency in english is essential
  • Experienced in computers and typing is needed.

  • Fluent in English, a pleasant and professional voice
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Effective Communication skills
  • Effective alternative and 3rd solution thinking when there is an emergency call
  • Competent administration and computer skills
  • Professionalism and Patience
  • Typing skills
  • Time management 

Computer Literacy

  • Microsoft Outlook – Basic
  • Word – intermediate
  • Excel - Intermediate
