🚀 General Manager

📍 Location: Irlam, Greater Manchester

A growing warehouse and distribution business based in Irlam is looking to recruit an experienced General Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the operation.

This is a hands-on management role responsible for warehouse activities, staff performance, operational efficiency, and customer service. The successful candidate will lead from the front, support the team, and ensure the site operates safely and effectively.

💰 Salary & Hours

✅ £37,000 per annum (£17.79 per hour during the temporary-to-permanent period)

✅ Up to £40,000 per annum upon successful completion of the temporary period (dependent on experience)

📅 Monday to Friday

⏰ 8:30am - 5:00pm

📦 Key Responsibilities

🔹 Manage the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and distribution facility

🔹 Lead, motivate, and support warehouse and office-based employees

🔹 Monitor productivity and operational performance

🔹 Ensure stock accuracy and effective warehouse organisation

🔹 Oversee goods-in, goods-out, and distribution activities

🔹 Maintain high standards of health and safety across the site

🔹 Identify and implement operational improvements

🔹 Act as the main point of contact for operational issues and customer requirements

✅ Requirements

✔️ Previous management experience within a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment

✔️ Strong leadership and people management skills

✔️ Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities

✔️ Experience improving processes and driving operational performance

✔️ Confident communicator with a practical, hands-on approach
