TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Breedon on the Hill, DE73, who are looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant. The school is seeking a confident and caring individual who can provide consistent support to pupils with additional needs and help create a positive, structured learning environment.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis from ASAP until July 2027, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support children across EYFS and Key Stage 1 / KS1 with SEND and challenging behaviours, helping pupils access learning, manage their emotions and develop positive relationships within the classroom.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable

• Experience supporting children with SEND within a primary school setting

• Experience working with pupils who display challenging behaviours

• Knowledge of positive behaviour management strategies

• Confidence supporting children across EYFS and Key Stage 1 / KS1

• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach to supporting children's individual needs
