Lead Veterinary Surgeon / Partnership Opportunity – Nottingham

Practice Ownership Could Be Closer Than You Think!

Have you ever dreamed of running your own practice but felt overwhelmed by the ‘what ifs’? Maybe you’ve been held back by the unknowns, or find yourself wondering how you'd eventually step away from it all. The good news is with the right support, practice ownership doesn’t have to be daunting! In fact, it can be the most exciting step in your career.

Imagine combining the independence of owning your clinic with a support network that takes care of the time-consuming admin, answers your questions, and even offers a clear, guaranteed route for exiting the business. No more sleepless nights—just a solid foundation to grow your future.

One opportunity that stands out right now is a three-site clinic on the outskirts of Nottingham. The main clinic is a bright and spacious multi-vet practice that is yet to reach its full potential, and we're looking for a reliable GP vet with plenty of drive who can manage a cross-site team and take advantage of the huge scope for growth at this practice. It's very well-equipped with ultrasound, dental x-ray, in-house lab, multiparameter monitoring, endoscopy and tonopen, and they handle a wide range of cases, both surgical and medical, to keep you engaged.

You won’t be going it alone. The clinic benefits from the support of a dedicated night team at a nearby 24-hour hospital, which also provides access to advanced imaging, surgery, and ongoing case support. Located in a sought-after market town, the practice enjoys a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere with excellent schools, green spaces, and a high quality of life—making this a fantastic place to work and live!

Who We're Looking For:

We're after a vet with vision—someone ready to take the reins, lead a team, and build something special. You'll be committed to exceptional patient care and creating a great experience for clients, while also growing and developing your clinic and team. Experience in leadership or business is a bonus, but not essential—we’re looking for the drive and ambition to succeed, with the backing of experts to help make it happen.

Financial Benefits & Exit Options:

• Monthly profit share plus guaranteed exit payment when you choose to leave the partnership
• Exit valuations increase over time (multiples applied at 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 years)
• Example: Drawings can grow from £110k at Year 2 to £178k at Year 10, with equity increasing from £300k to over £1.2m*
• Equity purchased depends on clinic valuation and affordability, with financing options available

Support Provided:

• Clinical support network from experienced vets and specialists
• Dedicated back-office support (finance, HR, marketing, procurement, facilities)
• Regional Operations support to help run the practice smoothly
• Initial drawings safeguarded (minimum £75k salary if profits are lower in early stages)
• Financing available via a deferred payment scheme, with loan options at competitive rates
