TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Pontypridd who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. The school is looking for a supportive and enthusiastic individual who can help pupils develop their confidence and make progress with their literacy skills.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a full-time, ongoing basis. The successful Teaching Assistant will work with pupils across the primary age range, delivering targeted literacy interventions and supporting programmes such as Read Write Inc. alongside providing general classroom support.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children in a primary school setting
• Experience delivering literacy and phonics interventions
• Knowledge and experience of Read Write Inc. or similar literacy programmes
• A good understanding of supporting pupils with reading and writing
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A positive and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning
