Brightwork are delighted to be supporting a key client with the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant to join their busy Finance team based in Bonnybridge.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and managing a varied workload. Working as part of an established finance team, you will support the day-to-day transactional finance function while also gaining exposure to wider month-end activities.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

• Processing a high volume of purchase and sales ledger invoices
• Supporting month-end processes as required
• Managing credit control activities and assisting with cash flow
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring transactions are processed efficiently
• Dealing with internal and external stakeholders and providing a high level of service
• Resolving finance queries in a timely and professional manner
• Supporting the wider Finance team with additional duties when required

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable working to deadlines within a busy finance environment.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience within a busy transactional finance or Accounts Assistant role
• Experience across purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience using NetSuite would be highly advantageous
• An understanding of month-end processes, P&L and Trial Balance would be beneficial
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with a range of stakeholders
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative
• Previous construction industry experience would be beneficial, although this is not essential
