MEP Project Manager / MEP Manager

Role Overview

The MEP Project Manager will lead the full mechanical and electrical scope from pre-construction and design coordination through procurement, installation, commissioning, integrated systems testing and final handover. This position requires a site-led main-contractor professional capable of controlling subcontractors, programme, cost, quality, safety and technical interfaces. The role supports a growing portfolio of hyperscale data centres and technically complex design-and-build projects throughout APAC. Open to all nationalities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complete MEP delivery across major design-and-build projects.
• Manage design development, constructability reviews and technical coordination.
• Develop procurement strategies and manage specialist subcontractor appointments.
• Control MEP programmes, construction sequencing, short-term planning and milestones.
• Coordinate CSA, MEP, ELV, controls, vendor and client interfaces.
• Manage subcontractor performance, workforce productivity and site execution.
• Monitor budgets, variations, commercial risks and package performance.
• Lead installation, testing, energisation, commissioning and integrated systems testing.
• Manage live-environment works, shutdowns and operational interfaces where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, contractual and technical requirements.
• Resolve technical and construction issues affecting delivery.
• Manage client, consultant, authority and end-user relationships.
• Drive documentation, snagging, system turnover and final handover.
• Support and develop engineers, package managers and site teams.

Candidate Requirements

• Approximately 10+ years’ construction experience.
• Strong main-contractor or general-contractor background.
• Proven delivery of complex design-and-build projects.
• Direct responsibility for large MEP packages and specialist subcontractors.
• Full-project lifecycle experience from design/pre-construction through handover.
• Strong programme, procurement, commercial and commissioning capability.
• Data-centre experience is highly preferred.
• Candidates from pharmaceutical, semiconductor, hospitals, airports, casinos, high-rise or other mission-critical developments may be considered.
• Able to work regionally across APAC.
• Degree or recognised qualification in mechanical, electrical, building-services or construction engineering preferred.
