TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND school in Carlisle that supports children and young people aged 5 - 18 with a range of additional needs. The setting provides a supportive environment focused on helping pupils engage with their education and develop their independence.

The school is looking to take on a Children's Support Worker on a long-term basis, with both full-time and part-time positions available. The successful Children's Support Worker will support pupils throughout the school day, helping them access learning, manage their individual needs and develop their social, emotional and personal skills.

The successful Children's Support Worker will have:

• Relevant qualifications in education, care or support are desirable
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Experience working with children or young people aged 5 - 18
• A patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication skills
• A caring and adaptable attitude
