We are seeking a professional, customer-focused Security Officer to help keep our people, premises and visitors safe.

Staffline is recruting Security Officers in Market Drayton.

The rate of pay is £14.07 per hour.

This is a full-time role working rotating shifts, 4 on 4 off, and the hours of work are:
- 7am to 7pm
- 7pm to 7am

Your Time at Work

As a Security Officer you will provide a visible security presence, respond to incidents, and support a welcoming environment while maintaining high standards of vigilance and integrity.

Key responsibilities:

- Carry out regular patrols of the site (internal and external) and monitor CCTV/alarm systems.
- Control access/egress, issue visitor passes and maintain accurate records and logs.
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies and alarm activations, escalating where required.
- Provide excellent customer service to staff, visitors and contractors, acting as a professional point of contact.
- Support safety and security procedures including fire, evacuation and first response protocols (training provided where needed).
- Complete clear written reports for incidents, hazards and daily handovers.
- Assist with lock/unlock duties and key management in line with site procedures.
- Handle calls to the site
- Weighbridge operation

Our Perfect Worker

What we're looking for:

- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence (essential).
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to deal calmly with challenging situations.
- Good observational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to follow procedures.
- Basic IT skills for report writing and logging incidents.
- Reliable and punctual, comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Desirable: First Aid at Work certificate, CCTV (Public Space Surveillance) licence, previous security or customer-facing experience.
