We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Industrial Cleaner to join our team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across production facilities, offices, shop floors, and restrooms. The ideal candidate is a reliable, self-motivated individual with a commitment to upholding health and safety regulations while fostering an inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of office spaces, shop floors, production facilities, and restrooms.
• Ensure hygiene standards are met and maintained for all areas of the workplace, including high-touch surfaces.
• Safely and effectively operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning products according to provided instructions.
• Dispose of waste materials in line with environmental and safety policies.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and address spillages or hazards in the work environment.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure all areas are clean, organized, and in compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with team members to uphold hygiene best practices and workplace safety standards.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report replenishment needs to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning roles, particularly within industrial, production, or office environments, is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene practices in an industrial setting.
• Ability to operate and maintain cleaning tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Physical stamina to perform manual cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting, over extended periods.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace.

Day-to-Day

• Morning inspections to assess cleaning and restocking needs.
• Sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces on shop floors and offices.
• Cleaning specialized production equipment as required (training will be provided).
• Emptying bins and restocking hygiene supplies such as paper towels, soap, and sanitizers.
• Cleaning restrooms and communal areas to ensure a hygienic environment throughout the day.
• Collaborating with colleagues to adhere to the cleaning schedule and address any immediate sanitary concerns.
• Maintaining open communication with supervisors to report cleaning progress or potential hazards.

The working hours are 08:00 – 13:00 Monday to Friday (hours can be flexible)

The basic pay is £12.71/h.
