FLT Counterbalance Driver – Severn Beach

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an FLT Counterbalance Driver to join our well-established client based in Severn Beach. This is a fantastic opportunity offering an excellent hourly rate, overtime opportunities, and the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an FLT Driver, Counterbalance Driver, Forklift Driver, Forklift Truck Driver, Warehouse Operative, or FLT Operator.

Shifts

 • 4 on 4 off
 • 07:00 – 19:00
 • Overtime available

Rates of Pay

 • £15.26 per hour
 • Overtime available
 • Weekly pay

Day-to-Day Duties

As an FLT Counterbalance Driver, your duties will include:

 • Picking, checking, and building customer orders ready for dispatch
 • Loading and unloading trailers using FLT equipment and manual handling techniques
 • Moving, storing, and organising stock throughout the warehouse and yard
 • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
 • Carrying out stock checks and inventory duties where required
 • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the warehouse and yard
 • Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures and operational standards

Essential Skills

To be successful as an FLT Counterbalance Driver, you will need:

 • A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
 • Excellent attention to detail
 • A strong understanding of health and safety procedures
 • The ability to carry out manual handling duties
 • Excellent communication skills
 • A reliable and flexible approach to work
 • The ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable Experience

 • Previous warehouse experience would be beneficial
 • Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT in a fast-paced environment would be advantageous

Training Provided

 • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
