Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Gateshead to appoint a Lower Key Stage 2 Primary Teacher to join their dedicated team from September.

Lower Key Stage 2 Primary Teacher – Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons aligned with the KS2 National Curriculum
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Differentiate teaching to support children with a range of learning abilities and SEND
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

Pupil Development & Wellbeing

  • Support pupils' academic progress, confidence, and personal development
  • Promote positive behaviour and high expectations for learning
  • Build strong relationships that encourage engagement and achievement
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment

Teamwork & Professional Practice

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community

Lower Key Stage 2 Primary Teacher – Essential Criteria

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent and relevant UK teaching experience within Lower Key Stage 2
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A reflective, enthusiastic, and committed approach to teaching and learning
  • Must live locally to Gateshead—no relocation
