Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Salary: £95 - £110 per day

About the Role:
We are currently recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Shirerbook and the surrounding areas to start in the new academic year for 2026/27 and beyond. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in education, whether you are considering a future in teaching or seeking flexible work within schools.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work to students in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a positive and productive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising classes during teacher absences
• Delivering lesson materials and instructions provided by teaching staff
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting students to stay on task with their work
• Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and any issues

Requirements:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence in managing groups of young people
• A flexible and proactive approach
• Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
• A degree or relevant qualification (preferred)
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
