People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Production Fitter to join our well-established client based in Oldbury. This role would suit candidates with experience as a Production Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, Assembly Fitter, Mechanical Assembler, Production Operative, Assembly Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Engineering Operative or General Operative.

Shifts

 • Monday to Thursday | 07:30-16:30
 • Friday | 07:30-12:30 (Early Finish)

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Production Fitter, your duties will include:

 • Assembling mechanical components to a high standard
 • Installing hydraulic systems and associated mechanical equipment
 • Using air, electrical and manual tools safely and effectively
 • Carrying out in-line quality inspections throughout the assembly process
 • Reading and following engineering drawings and assembly instructions where required
 • Reporting any faults or quality concerns promptly
 • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
 • Following all Health & Safety procedures at all times

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

 • Previous experience in a mechanical fitting, assembly or manufacturing environment
 • Knowledge of mechanical systems and hydraulics
 • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles
 • Experience using air, electrical and manual tools
 • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
 • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Desirable Experience

 • Previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
 • Ability to interpret engineering drawings or technical instructions
 • Experience with quality inspections or mechanical testing

Training Provided

 • Full training provided by the client
 • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
