The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences.

  • Support pupils in whole-class, small-group and one-to-one settings.

  • Help children develop academically, socially and emotionally.

  • Provide additional support for pupils who require targeted interventions or extra encouragement.

  • Foster a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Prepare classroom resources and assist with the day-to-day organisation of lessons.

  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupils to become confident, independent learners.

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children in a primary school, nursery or educational setting.

  • Be patient, caring and enthusiastic about supporting young learners.

  • Have strong communication and organisational skills.

  • Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

  • Work well independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).

  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
