Workforce Staffing are currently recruiting for an experienced and skilled TIG Welder to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Solihull. This is an excellent opportunity for a welder who takes pride in producing high-quality work on aluminium and stainless steel components within a modern and professional workshop.

You'll be working on precision-engineered products where quality, accuracy, and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality TIG welding on aluminium and stainless steel components.
• Produce clean, precise welds to a consistently high standard.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Set up welding equipment and ensure it is maintained correctly.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Follow all health & safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure customer requirements are met.

Skills & Attributes

• Proven experience as a TIG Welder, ideally working with aluminium and stainless steel.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or within a team.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential

• Previous TIG welding experience.
• Experience welding aluminium and stainless steel.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of welding quality standards.

Desirable

• Welding qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).
• Fabrication experience.
• Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or 5S principles.
