Experienced Veterinary Surgeon – Small Animal Hospital

Upminster, Essex | Full or Part-Time Considered

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced small animal veterinary surgeon, ideally with a surgical bias, to join their thriving RCVS-accredited veterinary hospital in Upminster.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, supportive and forward-thinking team within a busy first and second opinion practice offering a varied and rewarding caseload.

What Our Client Offers

Our client is proud to offer a genuine four-day working week, with 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7am and 10pm, helping to promote an excellent work-life balance.

The rota structure has been carefully designed to support staff wellbeing and includes:

  • A set day off each week
  • Shared weekend rota of 1 in 4 weekends
  • Additional 1 in 8 Saturday shift at the Brentwood branch
  • Shift overlap to ensure colleagues can hand over effectively and leave on time wherever possible

About the Hospital

The hospital is a large and well-equipped RCVS-accredited veterinary hospital with excellent facilities, including:

  • Digital radiography
  • Endoscopy
  • Ultrasonography
  • Separate dog and cat wards
  • Isolation facilities
  • Modern theatre suite with advanced multi-parameter monitoring equipment

The practice operates a paperless “Smartflow” clinical records system as part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability and reducing its environmental impact.

At their most recent Practice Standards inspection, the hospital achieved Outstanding in all available awards.
