Are you a proven operations leader who thrives on accountability, drives performance, and leads from the front?

Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Operations to take full ownership of operational performance across a busy and fast-paced fulfilment and logistics environment.

This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll be responsible for ensuring service, cost, quality, safety, and productivity targets are consistently achieved through strong leadership, effective decision-making, and operational discipline.

The Opportunity

As Head of Operations, you will have end-to-end responsibility for operational execution across the site, leading a team of Shift Managers and operational leaders to deliver exceptional results.

You'll play a key role in creating a highly accountable culture, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead operational performance across all shifts and functions.
  • Translate business strategy and objectives into clear operational plans.
  • Manage and deliver key KPIs relating to productivity, labour, service, quality, and cost.
  • Resolve operational challenges quickly and effectively.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Shift Managers and the Inventory Manager.
  • Drive accountability and performance throughout the management team.
  • Ensure SOPs, operational controls, and best practices are embedded and maintained.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
  • Maintain the highest standards of health & safety and compliance.
  • Create a stable, disciplined, and high-performing operational environment.

About You

  • Proven senior operations leadership experience within logistics, fulfilment, warehousing, distribution, or a similar fast-paced environment.
  • Strong track record of delivering operational excellence and KPI improvement.
  • Experience leading and developing management teams.
  • Commercially aware with the ability to balance service, cost, quality, and productivity objectives.
  • A decisive leader with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Passionate about continuous improvement and operational standards.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
