An exciting opportunity has become available for a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Northfleet on a full-time maternity cover basis from October. With the opportunity for a handover and transition period alongside the current class teacher, this role offers an excellent start for someone looking to step confidently into a well-established classroom and make a positive impact throughout the academic year.

The ideal Year 1 Primary Teacher will:

• Deliver engaging and creative lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
• Take full responsibility for planning, preparation and assessment
• Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents

Primary Teacher Year 1 requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or similar recognised in the UK
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
• Strong understanding of the Year 1 UK curriculum and phonics
• Ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons
• Commitment to the full responsibilities of a class teacher
