The role will start as office-based for induction and training, with the possibility of moving to a hybrid model (two office days and three home days) once the candidate is familiar with the systems and processes.

• We’re looking for an Information Governance Officer to work within the Corporate Information Governance Team. The post will play a key role within the team to ensure the Council’s compliance with the required standards for information governance, including relevant legislation and policy.
• Technical knowledge and previous experience of work relating to Freedom of Information and Data Protection are essential, along with experince in the redaction of complex subject access requests.
• It is essential that the applicant can demonstrate that they are competent in all aspects of communications, have good data analytical skills, have a strong customer focus, and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.  Team working skills are also essential for this role.
