A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Manchester is seeking a dedicated Graduate Early Years Teaching Assistant to join its Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team. The Role

As a Graduate Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children's educational, social, and emotional development during their formative years.

Working alongside experienced Early Years practitioners and teachers, you will:

  • Support children through both play-based and structured learning activities
  • Assist with early language acquisition, phonics, literacy, and communication development
  • Deliver targeted support to individuals and small groups
  • Provide additional assistance for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Encourage positive social interaction, emotional development, and independence
  • Support children during daily routines, transitions, and classroom activities
  • Help create a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive

This role offers excellent exposure to Early Years practice and child-centred learning approaches.

About You, To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold a 2:1 degree or above
  • Have a degree in Education, Psychology, Child Development, Childhood Studies, or a related subject (desirable)
  • Demonstrate a patient, caring, and nurturing approach
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have a genuine passion for Early Years education and child development
  • Be interested in pursuing a career in teaching, Early Years education, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or SEND support
  • Have experience working with children within EYFS or SEND settings (desirable but not essential)
  • Have strong spoken English skills to support language development and communication, particularly for children with English as an Additional Language (EAL)
  • Have the right to work in the UK
