KPI Recruiting are on the lookout for an FLT Clamp Driver for our client based in Congleton.

As an FLT Clamp Driver your working days and hours are:

  • Monday- Friday
  • 08:00- 16:30

The rate of pay as an FLT Clamp Driver is:

  • £12.74p/h

The duties and responsibilities as an FLT Clamp Driver are:

  • Unloading wagons of used waste bails
  • Ensuring that the bails are safe and secure and not a risk yourself or anyone around
  • Transport materials across warehouses, yards, or production areas
  • Place goods in designated storage locations accurately
  • Assist with stock control, scanning, and inventory systems
  • Ensure correct stacking to avoid damage or instability
  • Work closely with warehouse operatives and supervisors
  • Carry out daily pre-use checks (brakes, hydraulics, clamp function, tyres)
  • Ensure loads are secure but not damaged by excessive clamp pressure
  • Follow site safety procedures and traffic management systems
  • Maintain clear visibility and safe speeds, especially in tight spaces
  • Report faults, near misses, or accidents promptly

The ideal candidate for an FLT Clamp Driver would need:

  • A valid FLT (forklift) licence, typically from a recognised training body (e.g., RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS in the UK)
  • Clamp attachment certification or proven experience using clamp trucks
  • Basic Health & Safety awareness training
  • Experience in environments like warehouses, distribution centres, manufacturing, or logistics
  • Familiarity with handling non-palletised goods (e.g., paper reels, appliances, cartons)
  • Basic IT or scanner skills for stock systems
  • Warehouse experience (picking, packing, inventory)
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
