We are seeking an Electrical Systems Specialist to join our Design Engineering Delivery team at our Capenhurst site. In this role, you will support the delivery of high‑quality engineering solutions across Urenco’s Medium Frequency (MF) Variable Speed Drive (VSD) System portfolio, working with multiple internal customers. You will contribute across the full system lifecycle, including detailed design, supply chain surveillance, design refresh and re‑qualification, design change management, supplier qualification, documentation and training. Acting as a technical specialist, you will support the Senior Electrical System Specialist in design development, design specification and the safety basis of design. The role involves investigating and developing MF Drive System design concepts, supporting feasibility and optioneering studies and applying engineering standards to both existing and new hardware and software designs. You will execute detailed design activities both in‑house and in collaboration with external MF Drive System integrators, identifying best‑available technologies to support robust and compliant design delivery. You will also provide technical input and advice on Medium Frequency Drive Systems, hardware and software design and engineering specifications to stakeholders across the Urenco Group, contributing to consistent, high‑quality system outcomes.
