Night Shift Engineer Sunday to Thursday (10-6) 

Location: Stockport 

Salary: 45 to 50k 

We're recruiting a Shift Engineer for a leading food manufacturing business in Stockport. This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled Engineer to join a forward-thinking manufacturer,supporting production operations and ensuring equipment runs safely, efficiently, and reliably.

The successful candidate will take ownership of maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement activities across a busy manufacturing site, working as part of a collaborative engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on a range of production machinery.

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently to minimize downtime.

• Support production teams to maintain equipment reliability and performance.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to engineering projects.

• Maintain accurate maintenance and shift records.

• Ensure compliance with health & safety and food safety standards at all times.

About You

• Time-served or qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering (HNC/HND or equivalent).

• Proven experience in an FMCG or food manufacturing environment.

• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
