TeacherActive is pleased to partner with Whitchurch High School, a secondary school in Cardiff, which is recruiting an Exam Invigilator. The school plays a vital role in supporting students through their academic qualifications, with examinations being a key part of this process.

Role Overview

We are looking to appoint a dedicated Exam Invigilator on a short-term, part-time basis with flexible hours throughout the examination season. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing examination rooms to ensure a suitable environment
• Supervising students during examinations to uphold exam integrity
• Distributing and collecting examination papers efficiently
• Ensuring compliance with JCQ regulations at all times
• Maintaining a quiet, secure, and supportive atmosphere throughout the exams

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A good standard of education; GCSEs in English and Maths are desirable
• Previous experience as an Exam Invigilator or within an educational setting is advantageous but not essential
• A clear understanding of examination procedures and the importance of maintaining exam security
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely
• A reliable, professional, and flexible approach to working during exam periods
