Ready to take your sales career to the next level?

If you’re a confident, driven salesperson who enjoys speaking to customers, building relationships and working towards targets, this could be a great opportunity to build a career in broking.

We’re looking for a Junior Broker to join a growing team in Grantham. You don’t need previous broking experience — what matters is that you’re commercially minded, hungry to succeed and comfortable picking up the phone and having conversations with customers.

You’ll be office-based initially, learning the industry, developing your sales skills and working closely with experienced brokers. As your knowledge and confidence grow, so will your responsibilities, with opportunities to work with clients nationwide, attend meetings, carry out asset inspections and build long-term relationships.

What will you be doing?

  • Speaking with prospective and existing customers by phone
  • Developing and managing customer relationships
  • Understanding customer requirements and identifying suitable opportunities
  • Working towards call, activity and sales targets
  • Supporting deals from initial enquiry through to completion
  • Building your knowledge of commercial finance and asset-based lending
  • Working alongside experienced brokers and learning how to manage your own deals
  • As you progress, attending client meetings, asset inspections and sign-ups
  • Developing a strong network of customers and business relationships

What are we looking for?

You don’t need to be an experienced broker. We’re interested in people with sales experience, commercial drive and the ambition to progress.

You could be working in:

  • B2B sales
  • Car sales
  • Plant or construction equipment sales
  • Machinery or asset sales
  • Automotive sales
  • Account management
  • Customer-facing sales roles

Six months' B2B sales experience can be enough for the right person.

What really matters is your attitude. You’ll need to be confident speaking to people, resilient when things don’t go your way, comfortable working to targets and genuinely motivated by earning and progression.

What’s on offer?

  • £24,189 starting salary
  • £25,000 after successful completion of probation
  • 10% commission on deals concluded from day one
  • 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays
  • Pension
  • Death in service
  • Critical illness cover
  • Clear, structured career progression
  • Full training and development
  • Opportunity to work with nationwide clients as you progress

Career progression

This isn’t an opportunity where you’ll be doing the same job two years from now.

There is a genuine progression pathway:

Junior Broker → Broker → Senior Broker / Senior Broker Lead → Executive Broker

For the right person, progression can also mean taking responsibility for your own team and developing into a leadership position.

Grantham – fully office-based initially
Candidates should ideally live within approximately 15–20 miles of Grantham.

Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–4:30pm
Friday: 8:30am–3:30pm
30-minute lunch break.

As you develop as a broker, the role becomes increasingly client-focused, with opportunities to build relationships with businesses across the UK and get out from behind the desk.

If you’re ambitious, competitive and ready to turn your sales experience into a long-term career, we’d love to hear from you.
