Unit Manager  – Rehabilitation, Residential & Dementia Care

Location: Stockton-on-Tees

Salary: £41,600 per annum (£20 per hour)

Hours: Monday-Friday - 40 hours per week

Qualification: Minimum Level 3 required

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Unit Manager to support our teams across a range of care settings in Stockton-on-Tees. This varied role will involve working across our rehabilitation and intermediate care services, residential services and dementia unit, helping to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to those who need it most.

About the Role

You will play an important part in supporting residents and service users to maintain their independence, dignity and wellbeing. You will work alongside colleagues across different units, adapting to the needs of each service and helping to ensure consistently high standards of care.

Working hours are flexible and will vary according to the needs of the service, so this is not a standard 9am–5pm role. We are looking for someone who can be adaptable and is comfortable working across different care environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support.
• Support rehabilitation and intermediate care, encouraging independence and recovery.
• Deliver compassionate support within residential and dementia care settings.
• Promote dignity, respect and choice in all aspects of care.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to meet individual care needs.
• Maintain accurate care records and follow relevant policies and procedures.
• Adapt to the changing needs of the service and provide support across different units when required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A minimum Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or a relevant equivalent.
• Experience in a care setting, ideally including residential, dementia or rehabilitation care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A compassionate, patient and person-centred approach.
• The flexibility to work varied hours and support different units.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
