The Role

As a Year 2 Class Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative and challenging lessons.
• Prepare pupils effectively for the end of Key Stage 1 and SATs assessments.
• Create a positive and nurturing classroom environment.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress to ensure excellent outcomes.
• Differentiate learning to support and challenge all learners.
• Work collaboratively with your parallel Year 2 colleague in this 2-form entry setting.
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom practice and behaviour management.
• Have a strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Be passionate about raising standards and pupil achievement.
• Possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Be a reflective practitioner committed to continuous improvement.
