TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND provision based in Bradford, who are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Inclusion Support Worker. The provision supports children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, including Autism / ASD, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder / ADHD and physical disabilities, with a focus on promoting inclusion, independence and personal development.

The school is looking to take on a compassionate SEND Inclusion Support Worker for day-to-day supply or long-term cover opportunities, with an immediate start available. The successful SEND Inclusion Support Worker will be responsible for providing 1:1 and small group support, assisting pupils with their learning and physical needs, implementing individual support strategies and working closely with teaching staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

The successful SEND Inclusion Support Worker will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Health and Social Care or a related field (desirable)

• Experience supporting children and young people with SEND, including Autism / ASD, ADHD and physical disabilities

• Experience providing 1:1 support, small group interventions and assisting pupils with individual learning plans

• An understanding of safeguarding, inclusive education and positive behaviour management strategies

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

• A patient, caring and adaptable approach, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
