Training Coordinator

Owen Payne Recruitment are recruiting for a Training Coordinator on behalf of an ambitious and rapidly growing food manufacturing business. Supplying high-quality raw meat products to the UK food supply chain, the company is committed to operational excellence, food safety, and investing in the development of its people. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact within a dynamic and evolving environment.

As a key member of the team, you will play an important role in supporting colleague development, maintaining training compliance, and ensuring employees have the knowledge and skills required to perform their roles safely and effectively.

The Role

As Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and maintaining training activities across the site. You will support new starters through the onboarding process, manage training records, assist with SOPs and Work Instructions, and work closely with managers to identify and address training needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support SOP training, competency assessments, and compliance activities.
  • Drive learning and development initiatives through Redzone Learning and other training platforms.
  • Create, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records.
  • Support employee onboarding and induction programmes.
  • Collaborate with managers to identify training requirements and support continuous improvement.
  • Help promote a positive learning culture across the business.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within training coordination, learning and development, compliance, HR, or a similar role.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to deliver training to groups.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships and influence others effectively.
  • Good IT skills, ideally including experience with training systems or digital learning platforms.
  • Experience working with SOPs and knowledge of BRC requirements would be advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • A proactive, professional, and supportive approach.
