Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys Employee Relations, manager support and solving real workplace challenges?We’re looking for an HR Advisor to join an established HR team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on operational HR role where you’ll be trusted to provide practical, commercially focused HR advice to managers, manage your own Employee Relations caseload and ensure HR processes are handled accurately and consistently. If you enjoy the variety of Employee Relations, like working through cases from start to finish and want to be part of a structured, forward-thinking HR function, this could be a great next step. About the roleWorking alongside a Lead HR Advisor and two HR Administrators, you'll play an important role in supporting managers and employees across the business. You’ll manage a varied Employee Relations caseload, providing advice and guidance throughout the process and ensuring cases are dealt with fairly, consistently and in line with company policy, employment legislation and ACAS guidance. You’ll have the opportunity to manage cases from the initial issue through to resolution, making this a role where your practical HR and Employee Relations experience will genuinely be used every day. What are we looking for?We’re looking for someone who already has a solid grounding in operational HR and Employee Relations. You'll ideally have:
Experience within manufacturing, logistics or another fast-paced operational environment would be particularly useful. A modern, paperless HR environmentThis is a forward-thinking and highly systemised business. The HR function uses technology and automation wherever possible, including systems that manage departmental case workloads and an advanced time and attendance system with automated reporting. That means less time spent on repetitive administration and more time focused on what really matters — supporting managers, advising on Employee Relations and managing people cases effectively. The HR team also operates within a clear and structured timetable, with regular weekly HR meetings and established processes already embedded within the business. What type of person will fit the team?This role would suit someone who is: Calm. Organised. Practical. Methodical. You'll be working in a relatively quiet, focused HR environment where people take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. You'll need to be comfortable working within clear processes, managing confidential information and staying focused when dealing with a busy caseload. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys operational HR and Employee Relations. This isn't an L&D or training-focused position, and there is no payroll responsibility. The focus is firmly on HR advice, Employee Relations, policy, process and manager support.
