CNC Operator

Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme
Salary: Up to £27,700 DOE per annum
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

The Role

Our client is a growing and well-established specialist manufacturer, currently looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join their production team in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate CNC routing and cutting machinery
• Read and interpret production paperwork, technical drawings and specifications
• Safely load and unload materials and completed components
• Set up and operate CNC machinery for drilling and routing processes
• Set machinery to complete full programme cycles for the production of large quantities of components
• Monitor CNC machinery during operation and make adjustments where required
• Use gauges and measuring equipment to ensure required tolerances are achieved and accurately recorded
• Carry out daily cleaning and routine light maintenance of CNC machinery
• Ensure all work is completed in line with company quality standards, policies and procedures
• Work safely and responsibly at all times

Experience & Skills Required

• Certificate or diploma in an engineering discipline
• Demonstrable experience operating CNC machinery
• Experience with CNC programming and CAD/CAM systems
• Good computer skills
• Experience interpreting and editing FANUC control systems
• Ability to use fixtures, tooling and calibration equipment correctly
• Experience carrying out tooling offsets and tool changes
• FLT licence would be advantageous
