The Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity is available for a Veterinary Surgeon in Rotherham to join an established, friendly small animal practice where flexibility and colleague support really matter.

Whether a Vet enjoys a varied GP caseload or would prefer to focus purely on consultations, the team is happy to shape the role around their strengths and interests.

With options from 25–40 hours per week, this is an ideal opportunity for a Vet looking for greater flexibility without compromising on clinical support, career development or patient care.

Why This Practice?

This is a genuinely friendly, family-feel practice with strong roots in the local community. Many clients have been with the practice for more than 20 years, creating a rewarding caseload and long-term relationships with patients and their owners.

The Vet team currently consists of four Vets, supported by experienced RVNs, SVNs, PCAs and Receptionists. The environment is collaborative, welcoming and supportive, with management that encourages Vets to develop their own clinical interests.

The practice is well equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, dedicated dental facilities with dental X-ray and an in-house laboratory offering biochemistry, haematology, urine testing and cytology.

The Ideal Veterinary Surgeon

The successful candidate will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon who:

• Is passionate about delivering outstanding patient and client care
• Enjoys working as part of a close-knit veterinary team
• Is confident with GP consultations and routine medical or surgical cases – or prefers a consultations-only role
• Wants to develop their clinical skills and pursue areas of particular interest
• Values a supportive, collaborative working environment
