Opportunities may include day-to-day supply, short-term cover and longer-term placements across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This makes the role ideal for Teaching Assistants looking to build their experience or find work that fits around their availability.

As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils during lessons and classroom activities
• Working with individuals and small groups
• Delivering interventions prepared by the class teacher
• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
• Helping pupils develop their confidence and independence
• Preparing classroom resources
• Working collaboratively with teachers and school staff

The successful Teaching Assistant will:

• Have experience working with the UK Curriculum
• Be enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning
• Have a positive, patient and proactive attitude
• Be able to build strong relationships with pupils
• Be flexible and confident working in different schools
• Have SEND experience, although this is not essential
• Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
• Understand safeguarding, Benedict's Law and the Prevent Duty, or be willing to undertake relevant CPD training
