Head Chef – Events & Production - High-Volume Catering - Central London

Salary: £60,000 to £63,000
Location: Central London
Hours: 47.5 hours | 5 days out of 7 | Approx. 80% Monday-Friday

I'm recruiting a Production Head Chef for a major London destination, leading a busy production kitchen supporting multiple food outlets, hospitality and events.

This is a sizeable operation with £5m+ annual food sales, so we're looking for someone who genuinely understands production at scale - strong on food, people, organisation and the numbers behind a successful kitchen.

The Operation

• Large central production kitchen.
• Multiple cafés, retail and dining outlets.
• £5m+ annual food sales.
• Fresh sandwiches, salads, soups, wraps and small plates.
• Evening street food and events.
• Strong focus on quality and sustainability.
• Busy seven-day operation.

The Role

• Take ownership of the production kitchen.
• Lead and develop the senior chefs and wider brigade.
• Plan high-volume production across multiple outlets.
• Drive food quality and consistency at scale.
• Manage stock, food costs, labour and waste.
• Maintain excellent food safety and compliance.
• Support hospitality and events when required.

About You

• Experienced Head Chef with high-volume production experience.
• Events, CPU, large hotel, banqueting or contract catering background.
• Strong experience managing and developing kitchen teams.
• Commercially confident with costs, stock and waste.
• Highly organised and comfortable managing serious volume.
• Hands-on, calm and consistent.
