Salary: £93.50 - £100 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream primary school in Newcastle upon Tyne that provides a supportive and welcoming environment for its pupils. The school has a great culture and is committed to ensuring children with SEND receive the individual support they need to thrive.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Teaching Assistant Level 2 on a long-term basis, providing 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil with complex SEND needs. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant Level 2 will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to support the pupil's learning, engagement and development throughout the school day.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant Level 2 will have:

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience supporting children with SEND and complex needs
• Experience providing 1:1 support within an educational setting
• A patient and caring approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A positive and adaptable attitude
