What will the Financial Accountant role involve?

  • Maintaining and overseeing balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all control accounts are fully understood and regularly reviewed.
  • Monitoring cash flow performance and contributing to rolling forecasting and liquidity planning.
  • Taking ownership of monthly reporting processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and shorten reporting timelines.
  • Managing relationships with banking partners, including covenant reporting, facility monitoring and quarterly reporting requirements.
  • Coordinating statutory and regulatory submissions, including government statistical reporting and compliance obligations.
  • Acting as the key contact throughout the annual audit process, coordinating information requests and ensuring smooth delivery.

Suitable Candidate for the Financial Accountant vacancy:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Previous audit experience would be advantageous, whether gained in practice or industry.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, with a thorough understanding of financial reporting, balance sheet management and reconciliations.
  • Naturally inquisitive and proactive, with the confidence to challenge existing processes, identify efficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
