SALES & MARKETING MANAGER - Hospitality Business

£38,000 – £40,000 + benefits

I am working with a brilliant, established hospitality business to find a Sales & Marketing Manager for one of their high-profile Edinburgh venues.

This is a great role for someone who knows the Edinburgh market, loves hospitality and is as comfortable building relationships and getting out into the city as they are managing incoming enquiries and converting business.

The role is a real 50/50 split between proactive and reactive sales. You will be responsible for driving group bookings, events, corporate business, leisure and travel trade, while also making sure every opportunity coming into the venue is maximised.

You will have the support of a Sales & Marketing Coordinator and work closely with the venue leadership team as well as the wider regional sales function.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is based in Edinburgh and has strong knowledge of the local market
• Ideally already has a network of local contacts and relationships
• Has experience across MICE, leisure and travel & tourism
• Understands group bookings, events and driving revenue into a venue
• Has worked within restaurants, bars, hotels or a similar hospitality environment
• Is commercially minded and confident proactively going after new business
• Is equally strong at managing and converting inbound enquiries
• Is confident, friendly and naturally brilliant at building relationships
• Has experience with OpenTable
• Experience with Tripleseat would be a big advantage

The role:

• 25 days holiday + bank holidays
• Monday to Friday, predominantly 9am–5.30pm
• Edinburgh based and on site
• Occasional weekend events throughout the year
• One direct report
• Excellent training and development
• Permanent position
• ASAP start

There is a really strong training programme attached to the role, including management training which may involve time spent within another UK or European venue.

This would suit someone who genuinely enjoys the sales side of hospitality – someone proactive, personable and well connected who understands how to turn relationships and opportunities into revenue.
