Are you adaptable and comfortable delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of secondary subjects?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school in York who are looking for a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor. The school is looking for someone who can engage pupils, maintain clear expectations and provide a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

The school is looking to take on a Cover Supervisor on a part-time to full-time basis, starting ASAP and supporting pupils across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The successful Cover Supervisor will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, managing classroom behaviour and ensuring pupils remain focused and engaged with their learning.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• A relevant qualification or degree is desirable
• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils is desirable
• Strong classroom management skills
• Confidence delivering pre-planned work across a variety of subjects
• Excellent communication skills
• A flexible, confident and adaptable approach
