🚨 MANAGING REFRIGERATION ENGINEER – SOUTH LONDON 🚨

We’re currently recruiting for a Managing Refrigeration Engineer with a leading and well-established facilities management business.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Senior Refrigeration Engineer looking to step into management, or an existing Managing Engineer looking for a strong, stable role within the supermarket FM sector.

📍 South London – Bromley / Croydon / Wimbledon & surrounding areas

💰 THE PACKAGE

• £60,668 salary including £3,000 location allowance
• Up to 4% annual bonus
• Overtime paid at time & a half
• Door-to-door pay

🔧 THE ROLE

You’ll take responsibility for a regional team of Refrigeration Engineers, ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You’ll be the key point of contact for your engineers, providing:

✔️ Technical support and guidance
✔️ Day-to-day team management
✔️ Training and development
✔️ Management of the on-call rota
✔️ Support with performance and HR processes
✔️ Health & Safety oversight
✔️ Support with budgets, parts and materials
✔️ Client and management meetings
✔️ Assistance with major operational issues

This is a people-focused leadership role where your technical refrigeration background is just as important as your ability to manage, support and develop engineers.

👷 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You’ll need:

• Strong supermarket refrigeration experience
• Previous experience within an FM environment
• City & Guilds Refrigeration (or equivalent)
• F-Gas qualification
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience
• Full UK driving licence
• Previous supervisory/management experience is desirable

You’ll need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and dealing confidently with both engineers and clients.

1 in 4 Saturdays + 1 in 4 weeks on-call, with the on-call commitment included within the salary.
