The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside the class teacher to provide high-quality support to pupils across the classroom.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils with their learning across the primary curriculum

• Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning

• Supporting children with additional learning needs and SEND

• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills

• Providing classroom support and assisting with lesson activities

• Working closely with teachers and other members of the school team

• Creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment

What We're Looking For

We want to hear from Teaching Assistants who are reliable, caring and confident working within a primary school environment.

Essential:

• Previous UK school experience is essential

• Experience working with primary-aged children

• A genuine passion for education and supporting young people

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A patient, adaptable and positive approach

• Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential where you have relevant school experience.
