Van Driver with Counterbalance FLT – Some Warehouse Duties

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Van Driver with Counterbalance FLT to join our well-established client based in Baillieston. This is a fantastic opportunity offering £13.00 per hour, a guaranteed minimum of eight hours paid per day, regular ongoing work, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Courier Driver, Warehouse Operative, FLT Counterbalance Driver, Driver/Warehouse Operative, or Goods Delivery Driver.

Shifts

 • Monday to Friday

 • 07:00 starts

Rates of Pay

 • £13.00 per hour

 • Guaranteed minimum of 8 hours paid per day

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Van Driver with Counterbalance FLT, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

 • Delivering goods to shops and customer sites within the local area

 • Driving company vans safely and efficiently

 • Loading and unloading vehicles using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck

 • Completing daily vehicle and FLT safety checks

 • Manual handling, including lifting and moving goods

 • Supporting with warehouse duties and stock movements when required

 • Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time

 • Following all health and safety procedures

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

 • A valid UK Category B Driving Licence

 • A valid Counterbalance FLT licence or certificate

 • Previous van driving experience

 • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements

 • No DR or DD convictions (insurance restriction)

 • Good communication and customer service skills

 • Physical fitness to carry out manual handling duties

 • A reliable and punctual approach to work

Training Provided

 • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
