We’re looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates or anyone with a strong can-do attitude who wants to make a difference in education. This role is temporary and can be Full-Time or Part-Time.

What does a Cover Supervisor do?

  • Supervise whole classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring lessons run smoothly
  • Deliver pre-prepared work and keep pupils focused and engaged
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Provide support and guidance where needed, helping pupils stay on track
  • Be a positive role model, creating a calm and productive learning environment

What we’re looking for:

  • A degree (any subject) or proven experience with young people, backed up by a confident can-do attitude
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Professional presence and the ability to adapt quickly
  • Previous experience in education, youth work, coaching, or tutoring is helpful, but not essential

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment
