TeacherActive is recruiting Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and classroom support staff for primary schools across Carmarthenshire.

You could be an experienced TA, returning to education, or coming from childcare, youth work, care, sports coaching, mentoring or another relevant setting.

What you'll be doing

You'll work alongside teachers to support pupils with their learning, confidence and wellbeing.

Depending on the school, this could include:

• Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups
• Helping deliver classroom activities and lessons
• Supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
• Encouraging positive behaviour and independence
• Helping pupils stay engaged with their learning
• Creating a safe, positive and inclusive classroom
• Working closely with teachers and school staff

We're looking for people with relevant experience working with children or young people.

Your experience could include:

• Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant work
• Childcare or Early Years
• Youth Work
• Sports Coaching
• Care or support work
• Mentoring
• Community or voluntary work
• Other roles involving regular support of children or young people

You'll need to be reliable, patient, adaptable and confident building positive relationships with pupils and staff.
