Supervising Social Worker – Independent Fostering Agency | Slough, Berkshire | Full Time | Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm | £36,000+ per annum, depending on experience

They are seeking a Supervising Social Worker to join their friendly and supportive team in Slough.

The Role

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be responsible for supporting, supervising and developing a caseload of foster carers, ensuring that children and young people placed with them receive safe, nurturing and high-quality care.

You will work closely with foster carers, children, families, local authorities and other professionals, building strong relationships and ensuring that safeguarding and regulatory standards are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting, supervising and developing a caseload of foster carers
• Ensuring that children and young people placed with foster carers receive safe, nurturing and high-quality care
• Working closely with foster carers, children, families, local authorities and other professionals
• Building strong professional relationships
• Ensuring safeguarding and regulatory standards are consistently maintained

Requirements

Essential

• Qualified Social Worker and registered with Social Work England
• Newly qualified or has up to 2 years’ experience, ideally within an Independent Fostering Agency
• Genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people
• Confident, approachable and able to build positive professional relationships
• Good knowledge of safeguarding and social work practice
• Organised and able to manage workload effectively
• Willing to work predominantly from our Slough office
• Lives locally to Slough or within a reasonable commuting distance
