Mechanical Assembler / Welder

Location: Redditch
Pay: £13.50 – £15.50 per hour, depending on skill level
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler / Welder to join a dynamic manufacturing team based in Redditch.

This hands-on role involves approximately 80% mechanical assembly and 20% welding within a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble doors and components mechanically with precision
• Perform welding/ fabrication tasks as part of the manufacturing process
• Utilise hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Interpret and follow production drawings and specifications accurately
• Adhere to quality standards and meet production targets
• Conduct visual quality inspections throughout the process
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment

About You

• Experience in mechanical assembly, welding, fabrication or manufacturing
• Proficient welding skills
• Confident in using hand and power tools
• Able to interpret drawings and follow instructions precisely
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, diligent and a proactive team player
• Experience with doors, fabrication or metalwork is an advantage
