An exciting opportunity has become available for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a well-established RCVS Accredited Small Animal Hospital on the edge of the beautiful New Forest National Park in Southampton, Hampshire.

Whether newly qualified or highly experienced, Registered Veterinary Nurses will be welcomed into a collaborative environment where learning, progression and clinical excellence are genuinely encouraged.

The hospital provides a varied first opinion and referral caseload, including ophthalmology and orthopaedics, with excellent facilities including digital radiography, dental x-ray, ultrasound, therapeutic laser, endoscopy, laparoscopy, ventilators, multi-parameter monitoring and a fully equipped in-house laboratory. The practice also provides its own 24/7 out-of-hours service for its clients.

This role offers exposure to a broad range of nursing duties, with opportunities to pursue individual interests including emergency and critical care, theatre, inpatient care, nurse clinics and Schedule 3 procedures. Nurses work alongside a supportive team of experienced vets, RVNs and reception colleagues in a positive and welcoming environment.

The practice is ideally seeking a full-time RVN but is happy to consider part-time applications and flexible working patterns, including compressed hours or shorter working days. The rota includes a minimum of 13 paid night shifts per year and a 1 in 7 weekend rota, with time off in lieu provided.
