Commercial Administrator

Location: Bedford
Salary: £30,000 per annum

Full time: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm 1 hour lunch

We are looking for an organised and proactive Commercial Administrator to join our clients growing team in Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced construction environment and supporting the commercial team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with all commercial functions within the department.
• Process subcontractor payroll accurately and on time.
• Price and process contract variations.
• Process purchaser extras and maintain accurate records.
• Update and maintain subcontractor retention schedules.
• Enter variations and purchaser extras into monthly valuations.
• Reconcile payments and investigate discrepancies.
• Chase outstanding payments and maintain payment records.
• Update and maintain subcontractor information using Priceworx software.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous administration experience, 
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and subcontractors.
• Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Experience with Priceworx would be advantageous but is not essential as training can be provided.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
